24 on 24

I just celebrated my 24th Birthday! i may say that it was one of my unforgetable bdays ever! >.<

Not the usual home-made "Mindoro Sling" or Gin-juice inuman with pulutan or going swimming at my Aunt's pool. This year, i celebrated my birthday with a picnic at Bicentennial Park in Clarkfield Pampanga.

A week before my birthday, I'm stil clueless on what party I should give. My family and friends were texting me on what plans i have for my birthday when personally i just want a peacefull, silent, chillin' party.

Then the picture of lush big Acacia trees and evergreen grass came to mind. The perfect theme I wanted for my special day: Greens, kites, freesbee, playground, picnic basket, picnic cloth on the ground, children playing, Yuki enjoying the big space and cool strong wind. That's where i came up with my Birthday Picnic. >.<

The sun is up but its not too hot because of the cool wind and the big trees shading most part of the park. A long table is availabe where mom laid out all the food. I had red-sauce and olive oil based pasta, sandwiches, hotdog with mallows on stick, corn on cub hmmm.. what else? Oh there's chicken and pork adobo cooked by CJ and there's Ala Creme Belgian Cake, Kuya Tito and Ate Rit'z gift. :)

We laid out picnic cloth at the side where a big acacia tree stands. After eating, we squat and laid to rest. :) We played beachball while sitting down (still too full to stand up).

After a few minutes, we played freesbee. It was so fun because of the vast space. CJ, Pok, Kits, Tito and Ate ritz played the game while I took the pictures. They were able to do great throws and awesome catches.

Two of my Kuhlmadch friends came to my picnic party too. Lea in her office attire (hehe) and Creng with Chewy, her sister-in-law's male shihtzu. This was one of the funniest moment on my party because my baby Yuki, who is a male lhasa apso was trying to hump Chewy! >.<>

My baby Yuki had a super great time at my birthday. I made sure of that. :p Since it's the first time my family spent time with him. :) Everyone liked him. My mom even wanted to leave Yuki in Pampanga for a week.. or two. >.

We also raided the playground. I rode the swing (i have no photo of it) and rode the merry-go-round. I got really dizzy.. @.@ CJ got tired holding the merry-go-round and running in circles.

It was a long and tiring day for me but also the best birthday ever! >.<>.< id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5342654963556922274" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi-85MEWTgnpB3b1O8-aK4bhH_z9EZc2pYfOtSsq-HHQznjt1MwjCSb5BFT5xp03upqV9K-flhi-m2Eups0smB4bdjBmBxl_Mb9gpeATEE0TBeSlV_8z6wcKz3SQ_0jViLgEAHlnQ/s320/DSC01726.jpg" border="0">

Our Baby Yuki >.<

Name: Yuki Cervantes-Choa
Breed: Lhasa Apso
Sex: Male
Color: Tri-color (Black, Brown and White)
Interests: Playing fetch, going for a walk, humping his stufftoy car, putting his head out of the window of a moving vehicle.

Oftentimes, I forget that my Yuki is a dog. Maybe because he doesnt act like a dog but more of a cute little baby boy. There are so many instances which made me say this.

First, Yuki often wants to ba carried and cuddled and he knows how to hug (literally). Every morning when we go down from the bedroom, Yuki's already by the steps enthusiastically waitng for us for his morning cuddle. And every night when I go home from work, he's already by the door waiting for me for my welcome home cuddle. When he gets really excited, he hops around and even stands up! :)

Yuki was not trained professionally but instead learned on his own. I dont know how but he just did. Like when eating, Yuki does not eat food that falls from your plate or something. Once it's on the floor, he wont eat it unlike other dogs do. He'll only eat once he knows the food is for him. And he likes it more when I'm the one preparing his food. :)

After eating and drinking, Yuki knows how to clean himself up by wiping his face on his towel. :)

For some appaarent reason, Yuki has weird fascination with sockets. :P So I make sure there are no sockets dangling for him to reach and paly with and eventually tear it off its cord. Recently, Yuki tear off the socket of our flat iron. When i saw it, i was shocked and was about to give Yuki a scolding but when i saw him being so cute i forgot about the socket. But i made sure to tell CJ so she'll be the one to deal with Yuki. (CJ is more stern to Yuki than me :) hehe) When she got home and saw the socket, she showed Yuki the socket and asked him what happened. Know what Yuki did? Yuki, looking guilty, came up slowly to CJ and gave him a hug! >.<

First Family Outing for the Year 2009

Being true to our promise to our friends (Rhoda and Ayi), CJ and I went back to our run-away paradise. Puearto Galera.

This time, we went back tagging along my whole family (except for dad and grandma who didnt make it) last Jan. 23-25.

(L to R: Ranie, Mommy, Bik2, me, Mac2, Roselle, Rina, Pok and Kitz)
Our boat ride from the pier to White Beach was so smooth we even saw a dolphin and some flying fish. :) We sailed so peacefully that we were able to walk around the boat (we were the only passenger of the MB Brian boat) and did some picture takings.

What better ways to spend time in Galera than do some snorkling, island hoping and having lunch in an island?

This was one of my most memorable outing with my family. The three days, two nights we spent in Galera was exceptionally the best bonding we had. A perfect way to start our new year! :)

We are definitely going back here! :)
